We found this snake while driving on a road in Chobe National Park, just up the hill from the river. It's a Python, about 5 or 6 feet long.
Pythons are not venomous. They are constrictors, squeezing their prey and swallowing whole.
This one was crossing the road when we arrived, but stopped moving when Justice parked our jeep in its path. I wonder if elephants step on them very often?
