Warthog

Our guides in Botswana referred to warthogs as “pumbaa”. I thought they were joking about the Lion King movies. Nope!

In Africa, people called warthogs “pumbaa” much earlier. It's actually a Swahili word that means careless or foolish. Disney named their movie character because of this prior association.

I guess everybody agrees: warthogs are careless and foolish!
