Meve's Starling

These birds were ubiquitous in Botswana. When out of sight, we could hear their calls.

But they didn't look like this most of the time. Usually, they were colored plain black like crows. But when sunlight caught them at the right angle, they flashed into vivid blue. A slight movement and the color disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
