Fish Eagle

We saw fish eagles nearly every day, but they were usually high in a tree and far away. Again and again, I'd try to steady my camera on the back of a car seat to get a clear shot.

We often waited for the eagle to leap off its branch and fly. We all wanted a good photo of an eagle in flight!

When we couldn't see one, we often heard their calls. That's a special sound, distinctive to Africa!
