We saw a lot more baboons than vervet monkeys, but the baboons never interacted with us. They look and sound quite intimidating, and we'd heard that they were dangerous.
We encountered large troops, often spread out in grasslands. Mother baboons carried the young, and a few males were quite large. I don't think we ever saw any baboons in the trees.
