The dead elephant attracted a lot of vultures. Every time we stopped by the carcass, we always found trees loaded with them.
This hooded vulture has come to earth, presumably for a drink of water. Most of the ones in the trees had dark faces without hoods, so I think they were white-backed vultures.
You'd expect vultures to circle high in the air over a potential meal, but that's not what these guys did. They waited patiently in the trees. After the lions, the hyenas would get their turn to eat. The vultures might be last in line.
